Day Services

Day Service Option (DSO)
Community Experience Program (CEP)  

These programs provide opportunities for people to learn and use social skills, participate in activities with their peers in the community and has an added component of work skill development. The people served in this program generally do not have the tolerance for a full day of work, but take pride in earning a paycheck which they can use for their activities.

The Group Supported Employment (GSE) Program is designed to assist individuals in the development of work skills and interpersonal behaviors that will prepare them for employment.  Individuals work as part of a crew with continuous support in a variety of jobs.  The program provides opportunities for people to learn a variety of work skills in the community. Through these opportunities, they develop social skills and increase self-esteem.

The work opportunities include floral arranging, gardening, woodworking, sewing, craft assembly, painting, staining, car washing, customer service, running a cash register, folding and ironing clothes, store display set-up, pricing stock, pick-up and delivery of donation items, light janitorial, landscaping, bottle pick-up and redemption, and clerical and reception duties.
